2024 tours

“I recently had the opportunity to travel to India with a small group of like-minded individuals to study textiles, art, and culture. It was an incredible experience that I will never forget.

While in India, we had the chance to learn about photography, art on fabric, and block printing.

We were able to immerse ourselves in the local culture and truly appreciate the beauty of India. The people we met were welcoming and gracious, and we learned so much from them. We were able to explore the local markets and purchase beautiful textiles to bring back home as souvenirs.

Overall, it was an amazing trip that allowed us to not only learn new skills but also gain a greater appreciation for the rich culture of India.”

During my visit to an Indian village in 2019, I had a chance encounter with a cow herder who asked me to take his photo. I decided to create a unique watercolor on fabric as a reference guide. It took me 18 months to complete the quilt, which was primarily stitched with a zigzag stich using Aurifil thread that closely matched the colors of the original photograph. The final product is personalized piece of Textile Art
